Explorer Roger Parsons (Canada), Champions Dana Chladek (USA) and Danielle Woodward (Australia), and Advocates Hugh Canard (New Zealand) and George Wendt (USA) will be inducted into the International Whitewater Hall of Fame (IWHoF) at the ceremony May 2 in the stunning Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario.
“These inspiring individuals remind us how lives can be changed, barriers broken, and our precious rivers can be shared, honored, and protected,” says World River Centre President Risa Shimoda. Since 2005, the IWHoF run by the World River Centre has welcomed over sixty-five inductees from 14 countries.
Tickets offer an afternoon exploring the Exhibition Hall, followed by an exclusive, behind-the-scenes guided tour of the Collection Hall. The evening continues with an Atrium Social featuring video tributes from past Hall of Fame inductees, a silent auction showcasing paddling gear, boats, and artwork, and the official IWHoF induction ceremony. Beyond the museum, paddlers are invited to enjoy the next day at the Gull River and a mini week of rivers hosted by the Madawaska Kanu Camp.
