Scott Lindgren is one of the most luminary explorers of global rivers of his generation; seamlessly blending complex logistics with beautiful filmmaking to capture the spirit of adventure like few others have.

Scott began his career with his Emmy award winning film Amazon to Andes, and has since made numerous kayaking films, including Good to the Last Drop, Aerated, Burning Time, and the Liquid Lifestyle series. They chronicled his numerous first and early descents in California Sierras including the Upper Cherry Creek, Devil’s Postpile on the San Joaquin, Middle Fork of the Kings, and the Upper Middle Kaweah. He also holds numerous first descents and early descents around the world including the Thule Bheri, Upper Karnali and Sutlej in Nepal, White Nile Murchison section in Africa, the Salweeen in China, the Rio Camata to the Amazon in Boliva, and most recently the Rhondu Gorge on the Indus in Pakistan.

His crowning achievement was the first successful descent of the Tsangpo gorge, one of the most daunting river expeditions in modern history. It was chronicled in Peter Hellers Hell or High Water, as well as Lindgrens own film Into the Tsangpo Gorge. Scott’s approach to expeditions and filmmaking set the standard that today’s paddlers still try to emulate.
